Hey Guys!
How was the memorial holiday for you all? Lots of family time I certainly hope! Well today after class I got caught up watching a movie on ABC family I believe. The name of the movie was ‘Leap Year’ which starred Amy Adams and Matthew Goode. The movie was cute nonetheless, I’m a sucker for cheesy romantic flicks and novels. But, the point of this post is a line Matthew Goode’s character stated in the film. He asked Amy Adams, “If your house were on fire what would you bring out with you?” and she responded ,”I don’t know, maybe the photos, my laptop, etc.” he then responded to her pondering answer with a quick, “I hope he’d bring you.” Meaning that her boyfriend who she had been seeking the whole movie, Matthew Goode was hoping that Amy Adams boyfriend would choose her.
That got me to thinking, really really hard people! What would I bring? My MacBook with my whole life on it? Or my cell phone with my social life on it? My dogs? I am simply clueless. But after a few moments of thinking, the decision is not so hard to make at all. I should just bring myself. Memories can be made again, these possessions that I have don’t really contribute to my life at all. Living is the most important thing. Instead of hustling and bustling myself around the house trying to grab possessions, I should just hurry myself instead. Try and help my family out, and yes people dogs ARE family. We should leave the possessions behind, even if it hurts. Memories can be re made.
Amy Adams took into consideratinon to what Goode had stated. When with her boyfriend again, played by Adam Scott, she pulled the fire alarm in their exquisite apartment. He proceeded to grab his pager, his laptop, his phone, all his equipment for his buisness. He even told her to grab some of his things also! At that moment, she knew what she had to do. Be with the man, who would choose her in that split second. Let me ask you this, what would you choose?
P.S. Think about it. You’d be suprised at yourself.

It’s SUMMER TIME ! Smile for the CAMERA! (:
Hey Guys!
How have you all been this lovely couple of weeks? If you’re past weeks have been like mine then you’ve had a wild past couple of weeks. I’ve been doing mainly a lot of school work so, my time has actually been occupied! The title may give away the actual topic of this post! Well, I was in the organic food store getting my usual, an organic salad with lite ranch, when someone behind me started whispering. Two people seemed to be in line behind me. I turn around to see two young white boys probably around my age just whispering loudly so I could certainly hear them. “She’s cute right? Why not try to talk to her?” one of them said. “I don’t know, I heard black girls are hard to handle, and loud.” the other responded. “Yeah man you’re right.”
I could not believe what I was hearing! I am not much of the confortational kind of person, but I had to stand up for myself! I turned my self around, afro and all, and said, “Excuse me, ‘she’ is a person, who is not loud or obnoxious. Next time you want to judge, judge yourself for tearing down another person based on stereotypes.” And let me tell you, that they were more than shocked! I just don’t see how sterotypes should be acceptable. I have to admit that many people DO see loud african-american girls, but that should not be the way the base ALL african-american girls. It’s not cool to judge other people on their race or hair color or anything! Anything like this happen to you? Let me know! Have a wonderful day!

Hey guys!
I am away this week on a retreat that requires me to drop all electronic activity. **gasps** can you believe that? I am shocked too! I am guessing they want us to focus on the topic at hand and make sure to only be focused on that topic. I have to say that this opportunity is going to be a great one! I have met some nice people while I am here and I hope to make those people into lasting friendships. The activities I plan to talk about, and I hope to be hearing some feed back from you all too. Some topic ideas! Things you want to hear of me! Changes? Ideas! The whole point of this internship is to instill integrity and become a leader. Well, here we go DAY 1.

Hey Guys!
Freshman year, has finally come to a close. It has filled with good times, bad times, crazy gym workouts, and times out with friends. I have met good people on the way and some people who were not beneficial to my life. But! The most important thing is that I survived. I survived all the nights of doing Chemistry until my head hurts, and sleeping for 5 minutes pretending that it was 8 hours. I may have accomplished alot of things this year, but I plan to do alot of things this summer! I want to accomplish so many of my dreams coming up this year! I want to have a healthy heart, body, and mind! I want to become who I really am, and accomplish my dreams. Sometimes I think that my dreams are too far out there, and others I realize that nothing is too crazy or wild. I can do or be anything that I want to be, and I have to strive for that. Come Wednesday, I will no longer be that Freshman girl looking out to find what I want in the world. I will be that woman who is aiming for what she wants!
P.S. its Sophmore Summer
